The engaging presentations by Carlo Ratti are founded upon his critically acclaimed career as an architect and engineer. The Italian professional is primarily based in Turin, Italy, the very place in which he was born. There he has guided academic groups in the exploration of the 'real-time city,' spearheading novel approaches to urban design. His intense focus upon the merger of electronics with metropolitan spaces led him to receive the Queensland Innovator in Residence initiative in 2009.
