Chris Hadfield's inspirational keynotes motivate others to push fear aside to accomplish their goals.
Chris Austin is a retired Canadian astronaut who was the first Canadian to walk in space. He was a former Royal Canadian Air Force fighter pilot and served as the commander at the International Space Station. Hadfield grew up in southern Ontario and was inspired upon watching the infamous Apollo 11 Moon landing on TV.
He went on to earn an engineering degree at Royal Military College, where he learned to fly various aircraft and became a test pilot. While we was in an exchange program with the US Navy, he received a master's degree in aviation from the University of Tennessee Space Institute. Hadfield spent 166 days in space and retired after his mission in 2013.
