As an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Yale University, David Rand's keynotes focus on his area of expertise: human cooperation. He graduated with a BA from Cornell University with the highest honor in Computational Biology and completed his Ph.D. at Harvard University in Systems Biology.
David Rand's keynotes reflect a fair balance between empirical data collected from research as well as behavioral observations. His most recent speech on natural cooperation discusses the motivations and justifications behind an individual's decision as to whether they will -- or are -- genuinely to help another. His presentation garnered him much media attention. Wired Magazine also listed him in its Smart List 2012: People Who Will Change the World. In 2013, David Rant will be relocating to Yale to start the Human Cooperation Laboratory.
