American actor Harrison Ford is a speaker and an advocate for environmental change. After finishing high school, Ford attended Ripon College in Wisconsin. In his final year in college, Ford began taking a drama class and developed an interest in acting.
Ford began his career in acting by signing a $150 per week contract with Columbia Pictures, as a part of its 'New Talent' program. Ford did some work as an extra, although most of that part of his career remains undocumented. Ford's first credited role was for a western film he had a role in entitled 'A Time For Killing.' Ford is best known for his role in Star Wars and the Indiana Jones series.
