Jared Cohen earned a bachelor's degree from Stanford University, and his M.Phil in international relations from Oxford University. He worked as a member of the Secretary of State's Policy Planning Staff, and was an advisor to Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton. Currently, he is the director of Google Ideas, and an adjunct senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Jared Cohen has been recognized as one of the top 40 people under 40 by Devex, and The Washington Post and Harvard Kennedy School of Government awarded him one of the 'Top American Leader' awards. He is currently co-writing a book with the plan to be published in 2013 with Google's executive chairman Eric Schmidt.
