Innovative to the core, Melanie Edwards' keynotes explain how she has taken the worlds of data management and health care and merged the two to create a socially conscious new initiative in the form of Mobile Metrix. By using census data, Mobile Metrix, under the direction of Edwards, has been able to look to bridging the gap between the the top and bottom of the economic spectrum.
As part of Edwards' initiative with Mobile Metrix, the company has been able to hire and train local youth to give the next generation better support as they progress through their careers and break the cycle of poverty.
Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Washington University and going on get her Masters in International Business and Economic Development from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, Edwards has proven to be a steward to social entrepreneurism. She currently holds her position as CEO and Founder of Mobile Metrix and works as Adjunct Professor of Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford University.
