Speaker Michael Sandel is a professor at Harvard University, where he teaches courses like 'Justice.' Sandel attended and graduated from Brandeis University. He went on to earn his doctorate at Balliol College, Oxford.
Sandal has taught at Harvard for over two decades now. His popular 'Justice' course was turned into a twelve episode series called 'Justice: What's the Right Thing to do?' Eight of these episodes were broadcast on the BBC.
Sandal is also well known for co-teaching a course called 'Ethics and Biotechnology', which examines the ethical implications of numerous biotechnological possibilities.
Sandal has written and published several books. Among them are 'Democracy's Discontent' and 'Public Philosophy.' He also wrote a book in 2012 entitled '
What Money Can't Buy: The Moral Limits of Markets.'
