Paul Polak keynotes warn corporations of a needed change in business strategy when it comes to operations in emerging countries.
Polak attended the University of Western Ontario and received an M.D. in psychiatry. He became qualified on the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry in 1968. For 23 years he practiced psychiatry in Colorado before founding the International Development Enterprises, helping millions of people living under $2 a day to better their living conditions. This began his career as a social entrepreneur and activist.
In 2007, he founded the company D-Rev, which looks to provide top notch design solutions for the 90 percent of the world who live in poverty. At the same time, he released his book 'Out of Poverty.'
In 2008, he founded Windhorse International, where he is currently acting as CEO.
Though educated as a doctor, the Paul Polak keynotes show that it only takes an observant global citizen to understand how a business can succeed while doing those suffering from poverty some tangible good.
