The Piya Sorcar keynotes shed a light on the ongoing HIV and AIDS epidemic and the efforts of organizations in the global fight against it.
Sorcar is the founder and CEO of TeachAIDS -- a social NGO that has developed interactive software to educate children about HIV. The successful venture has already enlisted the help and joined forces with more that 70 countries and hundreds of other NGOs. Sorcar hopes to be able to distribute the software to every country in the world within the next five years.
Named on MIT Technology Review’s TR35 list of the top 35 innovators in the world under 35 in 2011, Sorcar attended Stanford before embarking on her successful social venture.
