The Rodrigo Canales keynotes focus on his research on the role of the individuals within institutions. Canales examines how individual context, professional identity and hierarchical positions influence peoples relationships to institutions and the way they set about changing them. Canales also delved into the fields of micro-finance, which lead his research into new paths. Specifically, he explored the effects of renewable energy and the War on Drugs in Mexico. Canales offers advisory services to Mexican start-ups that deal with the finance sector of small businesses.
Currently, Canales serves as a professor at Yale SOM, teaching the Innovator Perspective. He also is part of an advisory panel at MIT's Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values.
