Spencer West

Speaker

The Spencer West speeches speak to his incredible climb of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness and funds for clean water projects in East Africa. The double amputee lost his legs at the age of five and made the climb on his hands and using his wheelchair. He was supported in the Redefine Possible campaign by his two best friends, Alex and Dave. West speech topics include lessons learned from his climb and how they relate to obstacles in the corporate world. He also speaks on the power of we and overcoming challenges to making a difference.

After travelling on a Me to We volunteer trip to Kenya, Spencer became an employee of the social enterprise by joining its speaker's bureau. He has also facilitated several youth volunteer trips since to developing communities in Kenya and India.

The Spencer West speeches at We Day focus on his climb, but he also recently walked on his hands from Edmonton to Calgary, also to raise money for Free the Children's water initiative to provide 100,000 people with access to clean water.
