Andrea Tone

Historian

The Andrea Tone keynotes are both educational and enlightening. She discusses the history of contraceptives and the effect that it has had on many women's lives. She shows an audience how the emergence of the pill was so incredibly benificial for women in terms of how it gave women power over their lifestyles and their bodies. She also reminds an audience of the dangers of S.T.I's and the increase of certain infections because of the pill. She is most definitely pro-pill, however she does want to make sure that there is proper education available about safe sex.

Tone is a Historian and currently works at McGill University. She works in the Departments of SSOM and History in the Faculties of Medicine and Arts.
