Her research work in HIV viruses has provided her with ample knowledge regrading the virus itself. During her research work about the virus, Titanji came across a woman, named Celine, who introduced her to the unethical standards that were common among companies conducting researches in developing countries. Since that time, Titanji has voiced out her opinions about the ethical practices being conducted by many research groups in developing countries and advocates for companies to bring their research methodologies up to par with ethical humane standards.
