David Weinberger
Keynote Speaker Videos on Trend Hunter

Professor, Speaker, Commentator, Senior Researcher, Author

David Weinberger's speeches examine the messiness that is essential in the search and processing of information. Further, Weinberger believes that in order for a business to truly succeed, it needs to accept and embrace this realization or else perish. As a renowned technologist and professor, Weinberger studies technologies and how humans interact, react and relate to them.

Currently, Weinberger is a professional speaker, commentator and Senior Researcher at Harvard's Berkman Center who investigates how the often referenced "information overload" is hindering and advancing the business and academic world. He also co-teaches a class devoted to Internet technologies title 'The Web Difference' at the Berkman Center.

Prior to this, Weinberger held a position as a marketing consultant and executive for various technology-oriented companies. Due to his extensive technological expertise, he was offered the position of Senior Internet Advisor to Howard Dean's presidential campaign and was consulted for John Edwards' campaign. In terms of his education, Weinberger holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Toronto.

Weinberger also authored several books that discuss the prominence of technology and proliferation of information including 'Small Pieces Loosely Joined: A Unified Theory of the Web' and 'Everything is Miscellaneous: The Power of the New Digital Disorder.' Much like his writing, David Weinburger's speeches suggest that there are opportunities beneath the abundance of information and that businesses need to be prepared to delve deep to take advantage of prospective possibilities.
