Jamais Cascio's talks are based on the concepts of sustainable living in the future.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Cascio's works delve into the discussion of ethical futuristic specialization in design. Cascio is one of the founders of Worldchanging, a website that provides "solutions-based journalism" about world issues. Cascio work is mostly ingrained in topics concerning energy, climate change, global development, open sourcing and nanotechnologies. The work that Cascio focuses on are the importance of sustainable environmentally conscious living.
Cascio's work on the carbon footprint of cheeseburgers back in 2007, garnered him a wide spread audience, which led his work to be featured on several newspapers, magazines, radio programs, websites and a museum.
Cascio received his undergraduate degree at UC Santa Cruz, but later attended UC Berkeley.
