Keynote Speaker Videos on Trend Hunter

Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas State University

Being an expert on the interactions of humans, with particular interest in the 'Web 2.0' stage of society's social media development, Mike Wesch's keynotes make use of his cultural anthropology background. As an Associate Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas State University, Welsch observes and researchs the interaction between humans in the digital age.

As a Kansas State University undergrad himself, Wesch then went on to receive his PhD in Anthropology from the University of Virginia in 2006. He has since created an uber-popular YouTube phenomenon video 'Web 2.0' in 2007, which reached millions of people over a short time span and reflected on today's culture of social media influence.

As one of the foremost thinkers in the current age of social media, online human interaction and the web-age overall, Mike Wesch's keynotes reflect a keen understanding of the way that the online world operates, which patterns have been observed, and where it is predicted to be heading.
