Mitch Joel

President of Twist Image

Mitch Joel's keynotes examine the implications that emerging forms of media have for marketing and advertising. His knowledge of these matters has been gained from a career centered around audience appeal.

As the founder of the independent record label Distort Entertainment and president of Twist Image, a digital marketing agency, Joel is familiar with the need to connect with an audience. Mitch Joel's keynotes point out that old advertising and marketing techniques will likely not work in the new world opened up by new media. For instance, transparency and honesty will become much harder to get around and companies will need to adjust to this.

Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Joel was a publisher/editor and music journalist of the music magazines Enrage and Arena Rock. He is also the author of 'Six Pixels of Separation.'
