Nassim Nicholas Taleb's keynotes are a reflection of both his education and research. His book 'The Black Swan' was published in 2007, much to the delight of critics and reviewers everywhere. 'The Black Swan' focuses on Black Swan events -- the rare and unpredictable events that we desperately try to find an explanation for.

Taleb recieved his Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Paris in the field of Science. He went on to earn his M.B.A from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and later a PhD in Management Science from the University of Paris (Dauphine). His experience with universities did not end here. He became a professor in 2004 and has taught at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (current), Said Business School, Oxford University as a Distinguished Research Scholar (current), London Business School, University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Wharton Business School.

As a New York Times Bestselling author, Taleb has published many non-technical books, noted among them: Fooled by Randomness (2001) and The Black Swan (2007). Both explore the nature of randomness and unforeseen events. His accolades include the 2009 Forbes List of 'Most Influential Management Gurus' and 2011 Bloomberg's '50 Most Influential People in Global Finance' for his work with the IMF.
