She fine tuned her passion for business and entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School after receiving a bachelor of arts degree at Macalester College.

She spent the time in between receiving her two degrees working for Morgan Stanley as a financial analyst. After leaving the company in 2001 she founded Access Trips, a global adventure travel company. She then joined Wildfire in 2008.
