Her career started before her graduate studies as a lead engineer at firms like Intel and Hewlett-Packard. She was a consultant for the U.S. Agency for International Development before becoming the founder of Nexleaf Analytics. She is currently still in this position, as well as acting as assistant research professor at UC Los Angeles.
